This course is split into two parts, the theory is covered in the class room in the morning and then there is a practical session in the afternnoon. The practical session inludes inflating lifejackets and liferaft in the pool. You will learn to swim wearing a lifejacket and learn how to board a liferaft and right a liferaft which has inflated upside down. The practical session also gives you the opportunity to let off real handheld ditress flares.

The RYA sea survival course is the only RYA course that does not attract the full North Sea Yachting three course lunch! – A lighter lunch is provided since participants will be swimming in the practical session after lunch.

- RYA Basic Sea Survival Certificate.

Additional Information

Swimming custume required – life jackets and liferaft are provided for the practical session. Although participants are welcome to bring their own lifejackets and wet weather clothing if they wish to simulate their own real life situations.

The course is invaluable in helping you choose the liferaft to purchase especially if you have young family cruising with you.
